Job summary

Akalpya Design Spaces is seeking an on-site Interior Designer in Ahmedabad to develop design concepts, layouts, and detailed drawings for interior spaces. The role collaborates with architects, managers, and vendors to deliver complete design solutions while coordinating FF&E selections within budgets and timelines.

The ideal candidate will have strong interior design and architecture skills, proficiency with AutoCAD/SketchUp/Revit, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a studio setting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience with FF&E selection and sourcing.
• Proficient in producing Construction Drawings and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools.
• Strong visualization, presentation, and communication skills.

Role Description

The Interior Designer will work on-site in Ahmedabad in a full-time capacity, collaborating with architects, project managers, and vendors to deliver complete design solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing design concepts, preparing layouts and mood boards, and creating detailed drawings for interior spaces. The role involves coordinating FF&E selections, ensuring alignment with project budgets and timelines, and overseeing implementation on-site to maintain design integrity. The Interior Designer will participate in client meetings, refine designs based on feedback, and support documentation needed for construction and project approvals.

Qualifications

• Strong Interior Design and Architecture skills, with the ability to integrate aesthetics and functionality.
• Proficiency in Space Planning, including layout optimization and circulation design.
• Experience preparing accurate Construction Drawings and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection, specifications, and sourcing.
• Relevant design software proficiency (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools).
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Strong visualization, presentation, and communication skills for client and team collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work effectively in an on-site studio environment.
