Role Description

The Junior Interior Designer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad. This role involves assisting senior designers with space planning, concept development, and interior layouts for residential, commercial, and corporate projects. The Junior Interior Designer will support the creation of construction drawings, coordinate FF&E selections, and prepare presentations and mood boards. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with project teams, communicating design details to vendors and contractors, conducting site visits, and helping ensure that designs align with quality, sustainability, and client requirements. The role also requires maintaining project documentation and contributing to continuous improvement of design standards and processes.

Qualifications

• Ability to apply Space Planning and Interior Design principles to functional, aesthetically coherent layouts.
• Foundational knowledge of Architecture and its relationship to interior detailing and building systems.
• Proficiency in preparing and reading Construction Drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience or training in FF&E selection, including finishes, fixtures, equipment, and furnishing coordination.
• Relevant education in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field (diploma or bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Basic proficiency with design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and presentation tools.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, senior designers, and vendors.
• Interest in sustainable design practices and willingness to learn new materials and technologies.
