Job summary

Tata Technologies in Pune, India, seeks an experienced Design Development-Interior Trims specialist to lead design and validation of interior parts such as door trims, pillar trims and headliners.

Candidate will drive CAD creation, DML releases, and DCRs, while coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure feasibility, cost targets, and timely delivery. Experience with Teamcenter PLM is essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CATIA for interior trim design and development.
• Knowledge of GD&T and stack-up analysis for accurate tolerancing and assembly.
• Experience with DFMEA/DVP in design validation.
• Proficient in Teamcenter PLM for CAD updates and data management.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated domain knowledge in interior trims, plastics, and packaging.
• Ability to analyze customer feedback and translate into design improvements.
• Willingness to participate in cross-functional teams for cost and quality improvements.
• Understanding of feasibility studies and process benchmarking.

Responsibilities

• Product design and development validation of interior parts such as door trims, pillar trims, and headliners.
• CAD preparation, 3D annotation, TPL creation, DML releases.
• DCR creation with change part lists.
• Benchmarking and tear-down analyses.
• Cost reduction and cost management.
• Mold flow experience is a plus.
• Mounting strategy, master sections, packaging feasibility, and manufacturing assembly feasibility of interior trims parts.
• Product design, freezing layout packaging.
• Release RFQ with technical inputs and product characteristics.
• Coordination with suppliers, finalizing scope, and preparing synopsis.
• Interaction with multiple departments.
• Preparation of design guidelines.
• DML release through PLM TCE/TCUA.
• Line tryouts of proposals addressing issues in current and upcoming programs.
