Job summary

Ensoft Consulting in Pune, India seeks an Interior Trim Product Engineer to lead design of instrument panels, cross car beams, door trims, consoles and related interior components using Catia V5.

4–8 years’ experience in automotive interior trim design, knowledge of plastic components and tooling, and strong 3D/2D modeling skills are required; exposure to EPP is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of experience in interior trim design
• Experience with plastic component design and tooling
• Exposure to EPP component design is an advantage
• In-depth knowledge of CAD to create 3D models and 2D drawings for complex parts

Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements and support delivery from kickoff to release
• Provide CAD support for proposals in consultation with suppliers
• Support part development, quality initiatives, and supplier feasibility discussions

Educational Qualification

Graduate /Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ Tool design/ Plastic design

Experience & background

Experience in Interior Trim Design around 4 Yrs. to 8 Yrs. Expertise on plastic component design and knowledge and understanding of tooling. Exposure of EPP component design is an additional advantage. In-depth knowledge of all the system specific Catia V5 CAD modules to create effective 3D model and/ or 2D drawings for a complex part/ sub-assembly in a time efficient manner while considering advanced features of surface and/ or solid modeling.

Responsibilities

Understand project requirements as per program milestones. (Any OEM Product development Gateway System) Support project delivery related to engineering and design from kick off to implementation, including; QFD, benchmarking, feature analysis, engineering, model preparation & release, CAE and physical validation support, development & implementation support) CAD support for engineering proposals preparation in consultation with internal external (Supplier) experts. Support to CDMM and other implementation teams for part development and quality initiatives. Understands all the feasibility concerns of suppliers and conducts technical discussion with suppliers to resolve concerns.
