Job summary

Hinduja Tech Limited is seeking a design-focused engineer to lead the full design process from ideation to production. You will draw new designs and update current ones, ensuring they meet all design responsibilities during creation.

The role requires 3–7 years of CAD experience, experience with exterior trim programs, and strong knowledge of GD&T and tooling feasibility. You will collaborate across manufacturing and engineering teams to hit milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 3–7 years of CAD experience and automotive trim exposure.
• Experience from scratch to SOP on at least one full exterior trim program.
• Knowledge of design cycles, tooling feasibility, parting lines and slider/lifter construction.
• Familiarity with GD&T and basic tolerance concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full design process from ideation to production.
• Manage multiple complex CAD projects simultaneously.
• Ensure designs meet manufacturing, technical and customer requirements.
• Ensure all design projects are completed within the timeline.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing and leading the full design process.

from ideation to production. You will draw new designs and update our current designs. During the creation process, you will ensure that our designs meeting all necessary design responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical degree
• 3 to 7 years of CAD experience
• Experience on (Exterior trims ) who has executed at least 1-full program from Scratch till SOP.
• Knowledge of Automotive trim product design and development cycles and its milestones / gateways & Timelines.
• Good Knowledge on plastic part Design & tooling for checking tooling feasibility with tool direction definition, parting line & Slider/ Lifter construction.
• Should have exposure on Interface checks, DMU, Manufacturing and Service requirements.
• Understand GD & T and have hands on experience on basic GD &Tolerance.
