Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy is seeking an Import Executive to manage end-to-end import operations in Ahmedabad. The role includes handling documentation such as POs, proforma invoices, BOEs, and shipping documents, ensuring accuracy and timely dispatch.

You will coordinate with CHA and banks, classify HS codes, manage compliance with Indian customs regulations, and maintain MIS records. 2+ years of relevant experience required, with education of any graduate.

• Any Graduate with 2+ years of import operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end import documentation including: Purchase Orders, Proforma Invoice
• Bill of Entry (BOE)
• Commercial Invoice & Packing List
• Bill of Lading / Airway Bill
• Insurance documents
• Coordinate with suppliers for timely dispatch and documentation accuracy
• Track shipments and ensure timely arrival
• Coordinate with CHA for smooth customs clearance
• Ensure correct HS Code classification, valuation, and duty calculation
• Handle import compliance as per Indian customs regulations
• Monitor and update documentation as per regulatory requirements
• Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters
• Plan and coordinate inland logistics from port to plant/warehouse
• Coordinate with banks for import payments (LC, DA, DP, remittances)
• Ensure proper documentation for payment processing
• Maintain import shipment records and documentation
• Prepare MIS reports on imports, costs, and shipment status
