Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy is seeking a Plant HR Manager for a manufacturing facility in Bharuch. The role reports to the Plant Head / HR Head and oversees HR operations, IR, recruitment and development initiatives at the plant.

You will manage talent acquisition, employee relations, training, compliance, and HR analytics to drive productivity and engagement. 8-15 years’ experience in a plant environment is required.

Qualifications

• 8-15 years of HR experience in a manufacturing or plant environment.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment and talent acquisition processes.
• Experience handling employee relations and engagement initiatives.
• Familiarity with industrial relations and labor law aspects.
• Hands-on experience in HR operations, payroll coordination and benefits.
• Exposure to performance management systems and appraisals.
• Experience in training, safety and compliance programs.
• Ability to prepare HR MIS reports and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end recruitment for plant roles and coordinate manpower planning.
• Maintain healthy employee relations and address grievances and disciplinary matters.
• Manage union relations and assist with collective bargaining when needed.
• Oversee attendance, leaves, shift management and documentation of records.
• Coordinate payroll and benefits administration and statutory compliance.
• Ensure compliance with factories, labor and provident fund acts.
• Support managers with performance improvement plans and appraisals.
• Identify training needs and coordinate plant-wide programs.
• Prepare HR MIS reports and analyze attrition and productivity metrics.

Job Summary

Job Title: Plant HR Manager

Reports To: Plant Head / HR Head

Key Responsibilities

• Talent Acquisition: Manage end-to-end recruitment for plant roles (operators, technicians, supervisors, staff). Coordinate with department heads for manpower planning. Conduct interviews and finalize hiring in line with company policies.
• Employee Relations & Engagement: Maintain healthy employee relations within the plant. Address employee grievances and disciplinary matters. Implement employee engagement initiatives and welfare programs.
• Industrial Relations (IR): Manage union relations and collective bargaining processes. Handle labor disputes and ensure smooth industrial harmony. Conduct negotiations with worker unions when required.
• HR Operations: Oversee attendance, leave management, and shift management. Ensure proper documentation of employee records. Manage payroll coordination and benefits administration.
• Compliance & Labor Laws: Ensure compliance with labor laws such as:
• Factories Act 1948
• Industrial Disputes Act 1947
• Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 1952
• Payment of Bonus Act 1965
• Coordinate statutory audits and inspections.
• Performance Management: Implement performance appraisal processes. Support managers in performance improvement plans. Align employee goals with plant productivity targets.
• Training & Development: Identify training needs for plant employees and coordinate for the training. Conduct safety, skill, and compliance training programs.
• HR Reporting: Prepare HR MIS reports and manpower analytics. Track attrition, absenteeism, and productivity indicators.

Experience

8-15 years of HR experience in a manufacturing or plant environment.
