Job summary

Allianz Distillery is seeking an HR Manager (Plant) to drive all HR functions at our plant office, aligning HR strategy with manufacturing operations, ensuring labor law compliance, and building a high‑performing, engaged workforce.

You will lead recruitment, payroll, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, safety compliance, and HR analytics, while shaping policies and processes from scratch and partnering with plant leadership to support operational goals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in plant HR operations, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of India's labour laws and statutory compliance.
• Ability to design and implement HR systems and practices from scratch.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Hands-on experience with MS Office and HR analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant HR activities including policy design, workflow structuring, and compliance.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and manpower planning for the plant.
• Oversee payroll processing and statutory deductions (PF, ESIC, gratuity, bonus).
• Drive employee engagement, retention programs, and performance management.
• Ensure adherence to labor laws, EH&S regulations, and HR policies; maintain records and audits.

The HR Manager (Plant) will be responsible for driving all HR functions at our plant office. This role is critical in aligning HR strategies with plant operations, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and nurturing a high-performance and engaged workforce. The individual will act as a strategic partner to plant leadership, implementing HR initiatives that support both operational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead HR activities related to plant setup, including policy design, workflow structuring, and compliance adherence.
• Establish scalable HR operations ensuring full statutory and regulatory compliance.
• Build a cohesive and performance-driven work culture from the ground up.
• Develop and execute HR strategies tailored to plant requirements and aligned with the organization's overall business objectives.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including manpower planning, sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
• Ensure timely hiring to meet plant operational demands with a focus on quality and culture fit.
• Resolve employee grievances, manage disciplinary actions, and foster healthy communication channels.
• Design and implement employee engagement programs to boost morale and productivity.
• Ensure adherence to labor laws, environmental health & safety regulations, and corporate HR policies.
• Keep all statutory records updated and manage audits, inspections, and compliance documentation.
• Lead initiatives to improve employee retention through development programs, feedback mechanisms, and performance management systems.
• Oversee the goal-setting, appraisal, and feedback processes in alignment with organizational frameworks.
• Monitor key HR metrics like attrition, attendance.
• End-to-end payroll processing for all plant employees, ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursement.
• Ensure compliance with statutory deductions (PF, ESIC, gratuity, bonus, etc.) and manage coordination with the finance department or payroll vendor.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in plant HR operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of India's statutory compliance and labor laws.
• Demonstrated ability to set up HR systems and practices from scratch.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Hands‑on experience with MS Office, and HR analytics.
