Breach Candy Hospital Trust in Mumbai seeks an experienced Head of Housekeeping to oversee staff, prepare daily rosters, and ensure impeccable cleanliness across hospital areas and doctors quarters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospital or hotel housekeeping, with at least 10 years of experience, and be able to manage inventories, respond to urgent cleaning needs,

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of housekeeping experience
• Background in hospital or hotel industry is preferred
• Male candidate aged 30–35 years

Responsibilities

• Supervision & staff management
• Prepare daily roaster
• Check attendance & punctuality
• Train new team members
• Take afternoon briefing
• Inspect housekeeping areas and doctors quarters for cleanliness and standards compliance
• Ensure periodic pest control and maintain records
• Ensure cleaning schedules are completed on time per hospital protocols
• Monitor deep-cleaning and terminal cleaning after discharge or infectious cases
• Respond to urgent cleaning requests and spill cleanups
• Ensure housekeeping practices comply with infection prevention and control guidelines
• Verify segregation, collection, and disposal of general, biomedical, and hazardous waste
• Handle soiled linen and contaminated materials appropriately
• Report and investigate housekeeping safety incidents or risks
• Maintain patient and public area upholstery and repairs as needed
• Monitor stock levels of cleaning materials, disinfectants, and supplies
• Maintain equipment and arrange repairs or replacements
• Keep inventory and usage records
• Maintain cleaning logs and related records
• Assist during accreditation audits and regulatory inspections
• Implement corrective actions for identified deficiencies

• Ensure periodic pest control is done at the hospital & other facilities like doctors uater/flats & maintain proper record of that
• Ensure cleaning schedules are completed on time and according to hospital protocols.
• Monitor deep-cleaning activities and terminal cleaning after patient discharge or infectious cases.
• Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests, cleaning of hazardous material spill
• Ensure housekeeping practices comply with infection prevention and control guidelines.
• Verify proper segregation, collection, and disposal of general, biomedical, and hazardous waste.
• Ensure appropriate handling of soiled linen and contaminated materials
• Report and investigate housekeeping-related safety incidents or risks
• Maintenance patient area /public area upholstery & change it or repair it as necessary
• Monitor stock levels of cleaning materials, disinfectants and housekeeping supplies.
• Maintain housekeeping equipment and arrange repairs or replacements when required
• Keep accurate inventory and usage records
• Maintain housekeeping records, inspection reports, duty rosters, attendance records, and cleaning logs.
• Assist during hospital accreditation audits and regulatory inspections.
• Implement corrective actions for identified deficiencies.

Preferred candidate profile

Male candidate, between 30 to 35 yrs of age. The person should have 10 years' experience in housekeeping .Background came to hospital or hotel industry.
