The Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for supervising cleaning, hygiene, waste management, and housekeeping staff activities across hospital areas. This requires strong team coordination, infection control awareness, shift planning, and quality monitoring. The candidate will ensure patient rooms, wards, OPD areas, ICUs, washrooms, corridors, and public spaces are maintained as per hospital cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise housekeeping staff and allocate duties across hospital departments and assigned areas.
• Ensure cleanliness of patient rooms, wards, OPD, ICU, OT support areas, washrooms, and public spaces.
• Monitor daily cleaning schedules, deep cleaning activities, and area-wise hygiene standards.
• Train housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, infection control, safety, and hospital protocols.
• Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, PPE, and housekeeping materials.
• Check waste segregation, biomedical waste handling, and disposal practices as per guidelines.
• Conduct routine rounds to inspect cleanliness, odor control, spill management, and housekeeping quality.
• Coordinate with nursing, administration, maintenance, and infection control teams for service requirements.
• Maintain housekeeping attendance, duty rosters, checklists, and cleaning records.
• Handle patient, visitor, or department complaints related to housekeeping services.
• Ensure timely cleaning of discharge rooms, isolation areas, emergency areas, and high-touch surfaces.
• Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies, consumables, and housekeeping equipment.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged fixtures found during rounds.
• Support audits, infection control inspections, and hospital quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain discipline, grooming, punctuality, and service standards within the housekeeping team.
