Job summary

SRM Institute Of Hotel Management is seeking a dedicated Stay-in Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee day-to-day housekeeping in a residential setting. The role requires ensuring hygiene, coordinating staff duties, and maintaining high cleanliness standards across rooms, common areas, and facilities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in hotel or guest house operations, strong supervision skills, and a willingness to stay on-site to meet household requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping supervision, residential housekeeping, hotel or guest house operations.
• Good knowledge of cleaning procedures, hygiene and housekeeping standards.
• Ability to supervise and manage housekeeping staff effectively.
• Flexible and willing to work as a stay-in/live-in employee.
• Good attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day housekeeping activities in the residential premises.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of all rooms, common areas, bathrooms, kitchen and surrounding areas.
• Allocate daily housekeeping duties to staff and monitor their performance.
• Check the quality of cleaning work and ensure tasks are completed on time.
• Maintain proper housekeeping standards, including linen, laundry and room arrangements.
• Monitor housekeeping supplies, cleaning materials and equipment; maintain stock levels.
• Report maintenance issues, damages or repairs required in the residence to the concerned person.
• Ensure proper care and upkeep of furniture, fixtures, appliances and other household items.
• Coordinate with other domestic staff and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Maintain discipline, punctuality and professional conduct among housekeeping staff.
• Handle urgent housekeeping requirements and support the family/residents whenever required.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the residence at all times.
• The candidate must be willing to stay at the residence and work as per the household requirements.
