Larsen & Toubro (L&T) in Hazira, Gujarat seeks a Head Production Planning for modular fabrication facilities. You will lead planning, coordinate cross-functional teams, and manage lifecycle from proposal to commissioning.

You will oversee budgeting, scheduling, and risk management with senior stakeholders, ensuring safety and quality targets are met. 18–20 years of relevant experience required.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Diploma in core engineering fields as specified.
• 18–20 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in planning and coordination for fabrication projects, ideally in oil & gas sector.

Responsibilities

• Project Control: interface with Finance, PMs, and clients; manage monthly budget/schedule forecasts and optimize cash flow.
• Planning: yard fabrication work for different market leaders projects in oil & gas sector.
• Lifecycle Coordination: direct cross-functional planning, monitoring, and project control from proposal to commissioning.
• PM Support: assist the Project Manager with change management, risk identification, and mitigation.
• Market Intel & Strategy: analyze market intelligence and lead Won/Lost reviews with the SBU Head.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: manage execution manpower, coordinate with Client Engineering, and resolve technical issues.

• Role: Head Production Planning (Modular Fabrication Facility - L&T)
• Location & Travel: Hazira Surat Gujarat
• Hierarchy & Grade: Reports to SBU Head/ Factory Head
• Team - Section Heads / Mangers (Team Size: 10 to 12)

Eligibility Criteria

• Education: Graduate or Diploma Engineer (Core Field - Mech/Civil/Elect/Production Etc...)
• Experience: 18 20 years of relevant professional experience

Key Responsibilities (Scope of Work)

• Project Control: Interface with Finance, PMs, and clients; manage monthly budget/schedule forecasts and optimize cash flow.
• Planning - Yard Fabrication work for different market leaders projects in oil & gas sector.
• Lifecycle Coordination: Direct cross-functional planning, monitoring, and project control from proposal to commissioning.
• PM Support: Assist the Project Manager with change management, risk identification, and mitigation.
• Market Intel & Strategy: Analyze market intelligence (PQ criteria, competition, budgets) and lead Won/Lost order reviews with the SBU Head.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Manage execution manpower, coordinate with Client Engineering, and resolve technical issues.

Key Result Areas (KRAs)

• Commissioning: Define and execute strategies for pre-commissioning, commissioning, and project start-up.
• Compliance & Safety: Maintain contract-compliant execution checklists and enforce zero-harm safety standards at site.
• Production Operations: Oversee pre-fabrication and manufacturing to meet strict schedule, budget, quality, and safety targets.
• Bidding Support: Provide accurate site execution and pre-fabrication cost estimates for new proposals.

Stakeholder Relations

• Internal: Employees, HODs, Business Head, Interfacing Departments.
• External: Clients, Contractors, Vendors, On-site Management.
