We are looking for an experienced Production Engineer to manage and execute fabrication production activities, achieve production and dispatch targets, optimize manpower and material utilization, maintain quality standards, and ensure timely delivery of orders.
1. Plan and achieve daily, weekly and monthly production targets.
2. Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of jobs.
3. Manage and supervise 20–50+ fitters, welders and production manpower.
4. Allocate manpower effectively to achieve maximum productivity.
5. Read and interpret engineering/fabrication drawings and design documents.
6. Monitor fabrication activities including fit-up, welding, cutting, grinding and assembly.
7. Control consumption of welding electrodes, gases and other production consumables.
8. Coordinate with Quality, Planning, Stores, Maintenance and Dispatch departments.
9. Ensure compliance with required quality standards and minimize rejection/rework.
10. Identify production problems, bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
11. Achieve weekly/monthly dispatch targets as per customer requirements.
12. Maintain proper production records and reports.
13. Ensure safe working practices and good shop-floor discipline.
14. Drive productivity improvement, cost reduction and continuous improvement.
01. Strong knowledge of Heavy/Structural Fabrication.
02. Good knowledge of MS/Structural Steel fabrication.
03. Ability to read and interpret fabrication/engineering drawings.
04. Working knowledge of Auto CAD.
05. Knowledge of MIG/MAG and Arc Welding processes.
06. Strong production planning and manpower management skills.
07. Experience handling 20–50+ fitters and welders.
08. Knowledge of quality control, rejection and rework reduction.
09. Good problem-solving and decision-making ability.
10. Good coordination, communication and team leadership skills.
11. Knowledge of 5S, safety and continuous improvement.
12. Strong focus on Productivity, Quality, Cost & Delivery (PQCD).
Candidates with experience in Heavy Fabrication, Structural Fabrication, Infrastructure, Formwork, PEB or similar engineering manufacturing industries will be preferred.
