Job summary

POSHS Cinoti Pvt. Ltd. in Maharashtra is seeking a Production Engineer to oversee fabrication production activities, meet dispatch targets, optimize manpower and material use, and uphold quality standards.

You will read engineering drawings, coordinate with QA, planning, stores and maintenance, drive productivity improvements, and ensure safe shop-floor practices.

Candidates with BE/B.Tech – Mechanical or Diploma Mechanical, and 25 years experience preferred, will fit this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy/structural fabrication
• Proficient reading of fabrication/engineering drawings
• Knowledge of MS/Structural Steel fabrication
• Proficient use of AutoCAD for fabrication drawings
• Hands-on experience with MIG/MAG welding and arc welding processes
• Strong production planning and manpower management skills
• Experience supervising 20–50+ fitters and welders
• Knowledge of quality control, rejection and rework reduction
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Good coordination, communication and team leadership skills
• Knowledge of 5S, safety and continuous improvement
• Focus on Productivity, Quality, Cost & Delivery (PQCD)

Responsibilities

• Plan and achieve daily, weekly and monthly production targets.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of jobs.
• Manage and supervise 20–50+ fitters, welders and production manpower.
• Allocate manpower effectively to maximize productivity.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings and design documents.
• Monitor fabrication activities including fit-up, welding, cutting, grinding and assembly.
• Control consumption of welding electrodes, gases and other production consumables.
• Coordinate with Quality, Planning, Stores, Maintenance and Dispatch departments.
• Ensure compliance with required quality standards and minimize rejection/rework.
• Identify production problems, bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Achieve weekly/monthly dispatch targets as per customer requirements.
• Maintain proper production records and reports.
• Ensure safe working practices and good shop-floor discipline.
• Drive productivity improvement, cost reduction and continuous improvement.

05. Knowledge of MIG/MAG and Arc Welding processes.

06. Strong production planning and manpower management skills.

07. Experience handling 20–50+ fitters and welders.

08. Knowledge of quality control, rejection and rework reduction.

09. Good problem-solving and decision-making ability.

10. Good coordination, communication and team leadership skills.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in Heavy Fabrication, Structural Fabrication, Infrastructure, Formwork, PEB or similar engineering manufacturing industries will be preferred.
