Job summary

Genpact is seeking a Front Line Manager - HRO - Payroll & Benefits in Bengaluru to lead end-to-end payroll operations, tax compliance, and cross-functional collaboration. The role focuses on accuracy, timely payroll closure, and continuous process improvement in a hybrid work setup.

The ideal candidate will have degrees in commerce/economics/finance, plus MBAs or analytics credentials, and hands-on experience with Workday HCM and global payroll.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in commerce, economics, or finance; MBA or analytics degree preferred.
• Experience with payroll operations and tax filings in a corporate setting.
• Strong knowledge of Workday HCM and global payroll processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll operations and timely payroll closure.
• Review payroll-related taxes and ensure monthly tax filings per statute.
• Coordinate with Banking team for salary funding and tax payments.
• Manage monthly variance analysis and account reconciliations.
• Provide documentation for internal and external audits; support cross-functional teams.
• Mentor the payroll team to optimize performance and process efficiency.

Job Description

Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll closure. Review payroll-related taxes and oversee monthly tax filings in compliance with statutory requirements. Coordinate with the Banking team to ensure timely funding for salary disbursements and tax payments. Manage payroll activities including monthly variance analysis and account reconciliations. Provide necessary documentation and support for internal and external audits. Maintain strong communication and collaboration with Hiring, C&B, HR, and Accounting teams to align payroll operations with cross-functional impacts. Mentor and guide the payroll team to optimize performance and ensure process efficiency.
