Job summary

Genpact in Pune is seeking a Front Line Manager for HRO - Payroll & Benefits to lead end-to-end payroll operations and ensure accurate payroll closure. You will review taxes and oversee monthly tax filings, coordinating with the Banking team for salary disbursements and tax payments.

The role requires a strong background in global payroll, tax compliance, and stakeholder management, with hybrid work and a flex-time shift in India.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Economics or Finance.
• MBA or equivalent in analytics/related field preferred.
• Experience in payroll, tax compliance and global payroll processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll closure.
• Review payroll-related taxes and oversee monthly tax filings in compliance with statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with Banking team to ensure timely funding for salary disbursements and tax payments.
• Manage payroll activities including monthly variance analysis and account reconciliations.
• Provide necessary documentation and support for internal and external audits.
• Maintain strong communication and collaboration with Hiring, C&B, HR, and Accounting teams to align payroll operations with cross-functional impacts.
• Mentor and guide the payroll team to optimize performance and ensure process efficiency.
