Job summary

3i Infotech is seeking a Desktop Support Field Engineer in Hyderabad to provide on-site incident resolution and hardware support. The role requires owning a vehicle and handling LAN/Wi-Fi issues, peripherals, and local IT tasks as directed by the central IT team.

You will diagnose hardware faults, perform OS imaging/reloads, coordinate warranty claims with the Assets Team, and assist with patch management and software troubleshooting as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in on-site IT support and incident resolution.
• Ability to diagnose hardware faults and perform OS imaging/reloads.
• Familiarity with printers, scanners, VoIP/telephony, and peripheral devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide mandatory on-site support for local incidents (Tier 1/2).

JD -

• Incident Resolution: The Engineer will provide mandatory, dedicated on-site support for all local incidents (Tier 1/2) that require physical presence, including hardware faults, network connectivity issues (LAN/Wi-Fi), and peripherals support.
• Hardware Lifecycle: Services include performing diagnostics, minor repairs, component replacement, Operating System reload/imaging, and coordinating warranty claims and asset disposition with the central Assets Team.
• System Support: The Engineer will troubleshoot client-side software and application issues, resolve user profile problems, and assist with local patch management as directed by the central IT team.
• Peripheral Support: The Engineer is responsible for the configuration and troubleshooting of local office equipment, including printers, scanners, and VoIP/telephony systems.
