Job summary

A technology support provider is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to provide comprehensive support for end-user devices including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. The ideal candidate will possess a B.Tech or BE qualification along with certifications like MCSE or ITIL. Responsibilities include troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining device inventory, and ensuring a high level of service urgency for VIP users. This role is integral to minimizing downtime and facilitating quick problem resolutions in a 24/7 work environment.

Qualifications

• B.Tech / B.E or equivalent qualification.
• MCSE, ITIL certifications preferred.
• 1 to 3 years experience in IT support.
• Proficient with Windows/macOS, MS Office, and basic networking (LAN, DHCP).
• VIP-level service standards and urgency understanding.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user support for desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install and configure operating systems and applications.
• Maintain VIP user profiles, update device inventory, and contribute to the IT knowledge base
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for quick issue resolution
• Conduct proactive system checks and assist in event preparation
• Ensure minimal downtime and fast resolutions for VIP users
