Job summary

Jindal Speciality Chemicals India Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced procurement professional to manage plant-wide procurement for maintenance, utilities, and packaging needs in Ahmedabad district. You will oversee RFQs, vendor development, negotiations, and timely PO issuance to keep operations running smoothly.

The role emphasizes cost reduction, MIS reporting, and audit compliance, with a hands-on approach to engineering spares and breakdown procurement in a chemical/pharma/food manufacturing

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on plant procurement experience in a manufacturing setup.
• Knowledge of engineering spares, utilities and vendor management.
• Experience with emergency/breakdown procurement and cost reduction.

Responsibilities

• Manage plant procurement for maintenance, utilities, PPE and packaging.

Manage plant procurement for maintenance, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, utilities, PPE & packaging. Handle RFQs, vendor development, negotiation, PO, timely delivery, shutdown/breakdown procurement, cost reduction, MIS & audit compliance.

Required Candidate profile

strong hands-on plant procurement experience, preferably from a Chemical, Pharmaceutical or Food manufacturing, good knowledge of engineering spares, utilities, vendor management, emergency/breakdown
