Job summary

Selective Global Search is seeking a Manager Purchase (CAPEX) in Bangalore to lead CAPEX procurement across multiple plants. You will manage RFQ/RFPs, supplier negotiations and turnkey EPC for capital equipment, driving cost savings and supplier performance.

The role requires 10+ years in procurement, with strong CAPEX, EPC/MEP experience, ERP/SAP skills and MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain. Willingness to travel for project discussions and audits is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience with at least 2 years in a senior line-management role in Corporate Purchase/Procurement.
• Experience in multi-plant manufacturing/engineering orgs with procurement leadership responsibility.
• Six Sigma, PMP or QMS certification will be an added advantage; MBA/PGDM preferred.
• Working knowledge of ERP/SAP, MS Office and digital procurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead CAPEX procurement for multiple plants including RFQ/RFP, tendering and techno-commercial evaluation.
• Negotiate contracts, commercial terms and supplier agreements while ensuring cost, quality and delivery targets.
• Manage procurement of Turnkey Projects, MEP, EPC and capital equipment (Transformers, Compressors, etc.).
• Drive vendor development, category sourcing and supplier performance management.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through TCO, should-cost analysis and e-auctions.
• Handle import procurement, Incoterms, customs clearance and CHA coordination.
• Lead CFTs/project teams and coordinate with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Maintain procurement dashboards, reports and audit records; ensure compliance with policies.
• Travel to plants and suppliers for negotiations, audits and project discussions.

Title: Manager Purchase (CAPEX)

Location: Bangalore

Key Responsibilities

• Lead CAPEX procurement for multiple plants, including RFQ/RFP, tendering, techno-commercial evaluation, negotiation, auctions, PO issuance and delivery compliance.
• Manage procurement of Turnkey Projects, MEP, EPC and capital equipment such as Transformers, Compressors, Cooling Towers, Electrical Panels, UPS, Conveyors, etc.
• Drive vendor development, category sourcing, supplier performance and strategic engagement models.
• Identify and deliver cost reduction / cost-saving opportunities through TCO, should-cost analysis, benchmarking and e-auctions.
• Handle Greenfield & Brownfield project procurement and lead procurement activities through project commissioning.
• Manage import procurement, Incoterms, customs clearance, duty payment and coordination with CHA.
• Negotiate contracts, commercial terms and supplier agreements while ensuring cost, quality and delivery targets.
• Ensure timely processing of PR/POs and compliance with defined TAT, procurement policies, audits and statutory requirements.
• Lead CFTs / project teams and coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders, suppliers and project personnel.
• Manage CAPEX scrap disposal through quotations, forward auctions and approval processes.
• Maintain procurement dashboards, reports, audit records and performance reviews.
• Willingness to travel to plants and suppliers for negotiations, audits and project discussions.

Experience & Skills

• Qualification: BE/B.Tech Mechanical / Production / Electrical / Electronics / Chemical
• 10+ years relevant experience, including minimum 2 years in a senior line-management role within Corporate Purchase/Procurement.
• Experience in multi-plant manufacturing / engineering organizations with procurement leadership responsibility.
• Strong expertise in CAPEX, EPC/MEP/Turnkey procurement, vendor negotiation and cost optimization.
• Working knowledge of ERP/SAP, MS Office and digital procurement tools.
• Strong understanding of contract management, supplier performance and trade compliance.
• Six Sigma, PMP or QMS certification will be an added advantage.
• MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain Management from a reputed institute will be preferred.
