Sanika Chemicals Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced procurement professional to manage the end-to-end purchasing of raw materials, chemicals, and consumables for smooth plant operations.

You will identify and qualify vendors, issue POs, negotiate terms, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining compliance with quality, safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Commerce, Science or Management or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of procurement experience in chemical/manufacturing preferred.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and MS Office (Excel).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet timelines.

Responsabilités

• Execute procurement activities as per approved purchase requisitions.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors.
• Obtain quotations, perform comparative analysis, and negotiate prices and terms.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with company procedures.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials and follow up with suppliers.
• Coordinate with Production, Stores, Quality Control, and Accounts departments.
• Ensure materials comply with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate purchase records, vendor documentation, and MIS reports.
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and statutory regulations.

Responsible for the effective and timely procurement of raw materials, chemicals, consumables, and other materials required for smooth plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute procurement activities as per approved purchase requisitions
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors
• Obtain quotations, perform comparative analysis, and negotiate prices and terms
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with company procedures
• Ensure timely delivery of materials and follow up with suppliers
• Coordinate with Production, Stores, Quality Control, and Accounts departments
• Ensure materials comply with quality, safety, and regulatory standards
• Maintain accurate purchase records, vendor documentation, and MIS reports
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent stock shortages or excess inventory
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and statutory regulations

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Science / Management or equivalent
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in procurement or purchase function
• Experience in chemical or manufacturing industry will be preferred
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Effective communication and coordination abilities
• Working knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office (especially MS Excel)
• Analytical and documentation skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet timelines

Other Requirements

• Knowledge of chemical raw materials and procurement processes is desirable
• Understanding of GST and basic statutory compliance will be an added advantage
