Job summary

Balasore Alloys in Odisha is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage monthly payroll processing for staff and workmen and ensure timely remittances and salary compliance.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on SAP HCM/SuccessFactors/Darwinbox/GreytHR experience, advanced Excel skills, and current knowledge of Indian payroll statutes and Labour Codes, preferably with mining, manufacturing or heavy industry exposure.

Qualifications

• Experience in processing payroll for staff and workmen with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP HCM / SuccessFactors / Darwinbox / GreytHR or similar HRMS.
• Advanced MS Excel skills and high accuracy in data handling.
• Up-to-date knowledge of Indian payroll statutes and the new Labour Codes.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll for staff and workmen inputs, attendance, overtime, incentives, shift and site allowances, arrears, deductions and recoveries.
• Ensure timely statutory remittances and returns PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund, TDS, Bonus and Gratuity.
• Manage income tax declarations, investment proof verification and issue of Form 16.
• Handle full and final settlements, gratuity computation, leave encashment and superannuation cases.
• Maintain the HRMS / SAP HR master data new joinees, transfers, promotions, separations and salary revisions.
• Reconcile payroll with the finance ledger; support internal, statutory and cost audits with data and workings.
• Verify contractor manpower bills for wage compliance under the Minimum Wages Act and CLRA.
• Respond to employee queries on salary, tax and reimbursements within defined SLAs.
