Job summary

Olectra Greentech is seeking an Inventory Controller for its Hyderabad manufacturing operations. The role focuses on receiving, storing, and line-side supply of in-house manufactured parts for bus and commercial vehicle production.

Candidate should have 3–8 years in automotive Stores, with hands-on SAP/ERP experience, cycle counting and perpetual inventory management to ensure stock accuracy and traceability.

• Experience handling in-house manufactured components and Stores operations.
• Hands-on SAP/ERP experience with cycle counting and perpetual inventory management.
• Strong attention to detail and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

• Receive and store in-house manufactured parts and ensure proper identification and binning.
• Verify part numbers, quantities, batches, and production documents.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality and PPC for material status clearance.
• Maintain FIFO, stock accuracy and real-time inventory records in SAP/ERP.
• Ensure timely line-side supply of components to Production/Assembly.
• Conduct cycle counting and perpetual inventory to reconcile system vs. physical stock.
• Investigate shortages, excess, rejection, damage and stock discrepancies.
• Maintain accuracy of SAP/ERP transactions for receipts, transfers and issues.

Job description

Role Purpose:

Responsible for receiving, storage, inventory control, material movement and line-side supply of in-house manufactured parts for bus and commercial vehicle manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage receipt of in-house manufactured parts from Production/Manufacturing.
• Verify part number, quantity, batch/lot and production documents.
• Coordinate with Production and Quality for material acceptance and status clearance.
• Ensure proper identification, tagging, binning and systematic storage.
• Maintain FIFO, stock accuracy and complete material traceability.
• Ensure timely line-side supply of in-house parts to Production/Assembly.
• Conduct cycle counting and perpetual inventory to maintain real-time stock accuracy.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure availability of critical in-house components.
• Investigate and resolve shortages, excess, rejection, damage and stock discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate SAP/ERP transactions for material receipt, stock transfer, issue and inventory adjustments.
• Conduct physical stock verification and reconcile system vs. physical inventory.
• Ensure proper handling and storage to prevent damage, deformation or quality deterioration.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, PPC and Manufacturing Engineering for smooth material flow.
• Drive 5S, space utilization, FIFO, inventory accuracy and stores process improvements.

Preferred Experience: 3 to 8 years in automotive/commercial vehicle manufacturing, preferably handling in-house manufactured components and Stores operations, with hands-on experience in SAP/ERP, cycle counting and perpetual inventory management.
