Job summary

Olectra Greentech in Telangana is seeking an Engineer Stores for the Body Shop to oversee material receiving, storage and line-side supply for bus and commercial vehicle production.

You will manage GRN/MRN, ensure accurate SAP/ERP entries, conduct cycle counts and maintain stock integrity, while coordinating with Production, Quality, Purchase and PPC to prevent shortages. This role emphasizes 5S, space optimization and rigorous inventory controls to support manufacturing efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3 to 8 years in automotive manufacturing stores operations.
• Hands-on experience in SAP/ERP and inventory management.
• Familiarity with cycle counting, perpetual inventory and FIFO.

Responsibilities

• Manage inward/receiving of body shop materials and verify PO, quantity, part number and delivery documents.
• Coordinate GRN/MRN, inspection and material acceptance with Quality.
• Ensure proper identification, tagging, binning and systematic storage of materials.
• Maintain FIFO, stock accuracy and complete material traceability.
• Ensure timely line-side material supply to Body Shop and Production.
• Conduct cycle counting and perpetual inventory to maintain real-time stock accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve stock variances, shortages, excess, damage and material discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate SAP/ERP transactions for GRN, stock transfer, material issue and inventory adjustments.
• Monitor inventory levels, safety stock and critical body shop material availability.
• Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile physical vs. system inventory.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase and PPC for smooth material flow.
• Drive improvements in 5S, space utilization, inventory accuracy and stores processes.
