Job summary

Vimalarani in Tamil Nadu seeks an experienced Stores/Inventory Manager to oversee receipt, storage, identification and issue of engineering and automation materials. Verify GRNs, update ERP records and ensure accurate stock reconciliation across locations.

You will coordinate with Purchase, Production and QA to maintain stock levels, implement FIFO/5S, and ensure traceability. Strong ERP/SAP knowledge and Excel skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• 13 years of experience in Stores, Inventory or Materials Management in engineering/manufacturing.
• Diploma or Graduation in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Logistics or related field.
• Working knowledge of ERP/SAP and MS Excel.
• Good communication, coordination and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day receipt, storage, identification and issue of engineering and automation materials.
• Verify incoming materials against PO, delivery challan and invoice; prepare GRN and update ERP records.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, bin locations, material tagging and stock reconciliation.
• Issue materials to Production, Assembly, Projects and other departments based on approved requirements/BOM.

• Ensure proper storage, FIFO, 5S, housekeeping and material traceability.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality, Projects and Accounts for smooth material movement.

Preferred candidate profile

• 13 years of experience in Stores, Inventory or Materials Management, preferably in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Experience in automation, machine building, fabrication or engineering industries will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of GRN, material issue/return, stock transfer and inventory reconciliation.
• Working knowledge of ERP/SAP and MS Excel.
• Basic understanding of engineering components, BOMs, part numbers and material specifications.
• Good communication, coordination, follow-up and documentation skills.
• Detail-oriented with a systematic approach to inventory control.
