Job summary

PeopleStrong requires a Diploma/Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in QC and inspection of casting, forging, fabrication and machining components.

You will perform precision measurements, ensure adherence to ASME Sec 9, WPS/PQR, and support QA/QC protocols, while promoting a culture of quality and teamwork on shop floor tasks.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years in QC/inspection.
• Experience in Casting, Forging, Fabrication and Machining inspection.
• Hands-on with precision measurement and measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of ASME Sec 9, WPS and PQR.
• Knowledge of material grades CS, AS and SS.
• ASNT Level II certification in NDT: VT, UT, MT, RT, PT.
• Experience in preparing QAP and inspection protocols/CTQs.
• ISO 9001 internal auditor preferred.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Knowledge of steam turbine and generator components preferable.
• Familiar with 7 QC tools, 8D, RCA.

Job Description

Applicant should be Diploma / Graduate in Mechanical Engineering, with minimum 5years' experience in Quality Control and inspection of Casting, or Forging or , Fabrication and machining components.

• Should have process knowledge of Fabrication and Machining.
• Should have process knowledge of Casting and Forging.
• Should have hands on experience in precision measurement & handling measuring instruments.
• Should have Hands on Experience in Inspection of castings, NDT on Castings .
• Should have knowledge of ASME Sec 9, WPS and PQR.
• Should have knowledge of material Grades of CS , AS and SS
• Should be Qualified in ASNT level II certification in NDT techniques - VT , UT, MT, RT and PT.
• Should have experience in Preparation of QAP and Inspection protocol/CTQ's.
• Should be an internal auditor in ISO 9001. preferable
• Should have Good Communication skills and comfortable to work in team.
• Should have knowledge of steam Turbine and Generators components. Preferable
• Should have knowledge of investigative techniques- 7 QC tools ,8D , RCA ect ...
