Job summary

PeopleStrong seeks a Quality Assurance professional with a PGDTQM background to oversee inspection and non-destructive testing activities. The role requires hands-on use of precision measuring instruments, reading engineering drawings, and ensuring conformance to standards in welding and machining operations.

You will manage inspection reports, bill of materials, and material certificates, while coordinating with suppliers on bought-out items.

Qualifications

• PGDTQM is required as a formal qualification.
• Hands-on experience with measuring instruments is essential.
• Knowledge of assembly, fabrication, welding and machining processes.
• NDT Level II with Penetrant, Ultrasonic and Magnetic particle testing.
• Understanding of bought-out items and inspection documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret quality certificates and material test certificates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare inspection reports, checklists and record sheets.
• Maintain knowledge of materials, standards and specifications.
• Handle SAP/GRN processing and keep accurate records.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding/machining symbols.
• Oversee surface preparation and painting processes.
• Verify fastener specifications and related documentation.

Job Description

1.) Should have hands on experience in handling fine measuring instrument.

2.)Should have knowledge about assembly , fabrication, welding, Machining process.

3.) NDT Level II Penetrant Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Magnetic particle testing

4.) Knowledge of bought out item.

5.) Preparation of Inspection report/Check list/Record sheet.

6.) Knowledge about Material, standards and specification, codes.

8.) Knowledge of SAP/GRN processing, Good record keeping skill

9.)Ability to read & interpret Engineering drawing, Welding & Machining symbol.

10.) Knowledge about Surface preparation, painting process.

11.) Knowledge about Fastners.

13.)Ability to read & interpret Quality certificate, Material Test certificate from supplier.
