Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Surat, India seeks a Quality Control professional with 5+ years’ experience in fabrication, casting and forging inspections. The role involves hands-on inspection of castings using UT and MPI and dimensional checks.

The candidate should know ASME Sec 9, WPS, and PQR, and hold ASNT Level II certification in VT, UT, MT, RT and PT. Willingness to travel across India for vendor inspections and strong teamwork is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with min 5 years' experience in Quality Control and inspection of Fabrication components, or Casting and Forging components.
• Experience in ASME Sec 9, WPS and PQR knowledge.
• ASNT Level II certification in NDT VT, UT, MT, RT and PT is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect castings and fabrication components for quality and conformance.
• Perform UT & MPI inspections on castings.
• Conduct dimension inspection of castings and verify machining allowances.

Job description

Applicant should be Diploma / Graduate in Mechanical Engineering, with min 5 years' experience in Quality Control and inspection of Fabrication components , or Casting and Forging components.

• Should have knowledge of Casting process and Forging process.
• Should have hands on experience in inspection of Castings like UT & MPI inspection.
• Should have hands on experience in dimension inspection of Castings and checking of machining allowance.
• Should have knowledge of ASME Sec 9 , WPS and PQR.
• Should be Qualified in ASNT level II certification in NDT techniques - VT , UT , MT, RT and PT .
• Should have experience in Preparation of QAP, MPP and Inspection checklist.
• Should be willing to travel and carry out inspections at vendors located all over India.
• Should have Good Communication skills and comfortable to work in team.
