Role Description

The Electronic Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The technician will diagnose and troubleshoot issues in electronic devices such as mobiles, laptops, LED TVs, desktops, and related IT equipment. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing component-level repairs, soldering, part replacement, preventive maintenance, and functional testing to ensure devices meet quality standards. The role involves handling service tickets, documenting work performed, maintaining tools and spare parts inventory, and coordinating with the service team to meet turnaround time commitments. The technician will interact with customers and corporate clients in a professional manner, provide clear updates on repair status, and support AMC and on-site service activities as required.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Electronics Technology and Electricity, with the ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams and technical manuals.
• Hands-on skills in Soldering and component-level Maintenance & Repair of consumer electronics and IT hardware.
• Proficiency in Troubleshooting electronic faults, diagnosing hardware issues, and identifying effective repair solutions.
• Certificate or diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field; relevant industry certifications are an advantage.
• Experience working with mobiles, laptops, LED TVs, desktops, and IT peripherals in a service or repair environment.
• Attention to detail, adherence to safety and ESD handling practices, and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Good communication skills, customer-focused attitude, and ability to work effectively in a team-based service environment.
• Willingness to work on-site in Chennai and occasionally support field visits or corporate service requirements.
