Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: supervise, train, and evaluate dispatchers and route planners; assign daily shifts.
• Operations Oversight: monitor real-time locations; coordinate shipments and service requests.
• Problem Solving: troubleshoot delays, route deviations, or emergencies; resolve issues promptly.
• Compliance & Safety: ensure adherence to transport regulations and safety protocols.
• Reporting & Records: maintain daily dispatch records and MIS using Excel or logistics software.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and evaluate dispatchers and route planners. Assign daily shifts and manage workflows.
• Operations Oversight: Monitor real-time vehicle and staff locations using GPS or tracking software. Coordinate shipments, deliveries, or service requests.
• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot delivery delays, route deviations, short shipments, or emergency calls. Resolve customer or driver issues quickly.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to company rules, transport regulations, and safety protocols.
• Reporting & Records: Maintain accurate daily dispatch records, MIS reports, and inventory movements using tools like Excel or logistics software.

Required Skills

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in dispatching software (TMS), route optimization, inventory/warehouse management, and data reporting (Excel).
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, leadership, conflict resolution, and decision-making under pressure.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or logistics is often preferred.
• Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or a supervisory role.
