Job summary

Msi Services in Bengaluru seeks a logistics dispatcher to schedule and consolidate product deliveries, monitor drivers, and maintain safety and productivity. You will update stakeholders with changes, ETAs, and special handling requests, while ensuring DOT compliance and documentation accuracy.

The role requires experience with routing software and a background in warehouse and transportation systems, plus familiarity with safety or telematics tools for optimal asset utilization.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Build, schedule, and consolidate product deliveries into truck loads using routing software.
• Monitor driver activity to ensure productivity, safety, and issue resolution.
• Update MSI personnel with delivery details, ETAs, delays, and changes.
• Arrange preventive maintenance and repairs of equipment as needed.
• Maintain satisfaction across customers, drivers, warehouse, sales and management.
• Ensure FMCSA and DOT compliance for drivers and vehicles.
• Provide process-improvement feedback via reports and observations.
• Collect and upload documentation for outbound freight and DOT records.
• Monitor driver and equipment utilization and advise on optimization.
• Collaborate with supply chain teams to solve delivery problems.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Job description

ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Build, schedule, and consolidate product deliveries into truck loads through use of strategic routing software.
2. Monitors drivers activity throughout the day to ensure deliveries are completed, productivity and safety measures are achieved, and all issues are resolved before the end of day.
3. Communicates and updates MSI personnel with delivery details including changes, delays, delivery or pickup times/etas, and special handling requests.
4. Arranges for necessary preventive maintenance and repairs of equipment
5. Serves as the catalyst for maintaining customer, driver, warehouse, sales and management satisfaction levels by meeting delivery expectations without compromising safety or productivity
6. Monitor all transportation activities to ensure FMCSA and DOT compliance for both drivers and vehicles (Hours of Service, GVWR, DQ Files, Medical & License Expirations, etc.).
7. Provides feedback to management for process improvement through running reports or onsite observations
8. Collects, systematically uploads, and stores all necessary documentation for outbound freight, driver compliance and vehicle maintenance records (Inspections, Citations, registration, POD's, Insurance, etc.) in accordance with DOT or Company guidelines.
9. Monitors driver and equipment utilization -provide feedback for under or over utilization
10. Partners with supply chain teams to solve delivery problems and strategies on process improvement

16. Experience using our Safety geared software;

18. Experience using ELD and asset tracking software; Geotab Preferred. Experience maintaining DOT compliance for both Drivers and Vehicles.
