Job summary

Pacific Global Solutions is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer - Hardware in Ahmedabad for a day shift, five days a week. You will perform hardware repairs or replacements on laptops, desktops, printers, and related tools, and you will install and update operating systems and routine software to keep users productive.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting slow networks, resolving Wi-Fi issues, assisting users on-site or via remote tools, logging tickets in the helpdesk, and escalating

• BE or Graduate in Engineering, BE, BCA, or BSC in computer science.
• MS Office and other office related software.

A. Scope of Work:

• Hardware Support: Fix or replace broken parts in laptops, desktops, printers, and tools.
• Software Setup: Install and update operating systems and everyday work programs.
• Network Help: Solve slow internet or bad Wi-Fi and local network links.
• User Assistance: Help workers on-site or through remote tools when they have tech troubles.
• Ticket Tracking: Log, update, and close support requests in a helpdesk system.
• Issue Escalation: Send hard or advanced tech problems to higher IT groups.

B. preferred Competence Requirements:

• OS Expertise: Proficient in Windows, macOS, and Linux installation and configuration.
• Hardware Repair: Hands-on fixing of laptops, desktops, printers, and peripherals.
• Networking: Basic TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Wi-Fi setup.
• Active Directory: User account management, password resets, and group policies.
• Remote Tools: Experience with remote assistance software and IT ticketing systems.
• Cloud & Virtualization: Basic knowledge of cloud platforms, Azure, or Citrix.

C. Required Qualifications
