Job summary

Docdort in Gujarat is seeking a Desktop Engineer to provide day to day IT support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, software, and basic network infrastructure in Vadodara. The role focuses on ensuring smooth operation of user systems and securing workstations.

You will install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software, manage Active Directory accounts, perform patching, support VPN and remote access, and maintain IT asset records while coordinating with vendors.

Qualifications

• Role requires 6 months to 1 year of desktop/IT support experience.
• Experience with Windows 10/11, MS Office, and basic networking.
• Familiarity with AD, DNS, DHCP and remote support tools.
• Immediate joiners or 15–30 days preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and network-related issues.
• Provide technical support for Windows 10/11, MS Office, Outlook, and other business applications.
• Manage user accounts through Active Directory, including password resets and access permissions.
• Perform software installations, upgrades, updates, and patch management.
• Support VPN, remote access, and basic networking-related issues.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure proper documentation of IT assets.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs, replacements, and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and organizational procedures.
• Provide remote support using tools such as TeamViewer, AnyDesk, or similar platforms.
• Assist users with video conferencing and meeting-room technology.
• Troubleshoot audio/video issues involving cameras, microphones, displays, and conferencing systems.
• Maintain proper records of issued, returned, repaired, and replaced IT assets.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of Windows 10/11 and MS Office Suite.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Understanding of networking concepts such as LAN, WAN, TCP/IP.
• Experience with IT ticketing/helpdesk tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy, etc.
• Good troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.
• Basic knowledge of antivirus and endpoint security tools.
• Ability to maintain and track IT asset inventory.
• Knowledge of hardware allocation and stock management.
• Experience with remote support tools such as TeamViewer and AnyDesk.
• Good documentation and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, or similar conferencing platforms.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Candidates with 6 months to 1 year of experience in Desktop/IT Support.
• Fresh graduates with relevant IT support knowledge may also be considered.
• Candidates based in Gujarat/Vadodara will be preferred.
• Candidates who can join immediately or within 15–30 days are preferred.
