Job summary

Devdort in Vadodara, Gujarat, invites applicants for a Desktop Engineer to provide day-to-day IT support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, software applications, and basic network infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 6 months to 1 year of IT/Desktop support experience, any graduate, and can join immediately or within 15–30 days. Responsibilities include AD, VPN, remote access, TeamViewer/AnyDesk, Windows 10/11, MS Office, and incident ticketing.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Windows 10/11 and MS Office Suite.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Understanding of networking concepts such as LAN, WAN, TCP/IP.
• Experience with IT ticketing/helpdesk tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy, etc.
• Good troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.
• Basic knowledge of antivirus and endpoint security tools.
• Ability to maintain and track IT asset inventory.
• Knowledge of hardware allocation and stock management.
• Experience with remote support tools such as TeamViewer and AnyDesk.
• Good documentation and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, or similar conferencing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and network-related issues.
• Provide technical support for Windows 10/11, MS Office, Outlook, and other business applications.
• Manage user accounts through Active Directory, including password resets and access permissions.
• Perform software installations, upgrades, updates, and patch management.
• Support VPN, remote access, and basic networking-related issues.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure proper documentation of IT assets.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs, replacements, and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and organizational procedures.
• Provide remote support using tools such as TeamViewer, AnyDesk, or similar platforms.
• Assist users with video conferencing and meeting-room technology.
• Troubleshoot audio/video issues involving cameras, microphones, displays, and conferencing systems.
• Maintain proper records of issued, returned, repaired, and replaced IT assets.
