Job summary

ERD Technologies is seeking a Senior Production Manager to lead production planning and operations across multiple lines, ensuring targets are met with optimal utilization of resources.

You will supervise a team of supervisors, operators and technicians, manage inventory, coordinate maintenance, uphold HSE standards, and drive continuous improvement through Lean methods, 5S and Kaizen to reduce waste and cycle times.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
• Supervise the complete manufacturing process.
• Monitor production performance and resolve operational issues.
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Lead and supervise production supervisors, operators, and technicians.
• Assign work, monitor performance, and provide training.
• Promote teamwork and employee motivation.
• Coordinate with stores and procurement to ensure material availability.
• Minimize material wastage and optimize inventory levels.
• Monitor production consumption and yield.
• Ensure machines are maintained and operating efficiently.
• Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance with the maintenance team.
• Improve equipment reliability and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations.
• Conduct safety training and promote safe work practices.
• Investigate accidents and implement preventive measures.
• Monitor production costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Reduce scrap, rework, and production losses.
• Improve overall manufacturing efficiency.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and other improvement initiatives.
• Analyze production data and identify process improvements.
• Increase productivity and reduce cycle time.
• Prepare daily production reports and KPI dashboards.
• Maintain production records, batch records, and work instructions.
• Report production performance to senior management
