Purpose

To plan, organize and control manufacturing operations while ensuring quality, productivity, safety and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Control

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plans.
• Allocate manpower and resources effectively.
• Monitor achievement of production targets.
• Ensure optimum utilization of machines and manpower.

Process & Quality Control

• Ensure First Piece Approval is completed before production starts.
• Monitor winding, coating, baking, assembly, welding, testing and packing processes.
• Ensure adherence to work instructions and process parameters.
• Prevent production of unidentified or unapproved materials.

WIP & Material Control

• Maintain control of WIP throughout production.
• Ensure rejected and rework materials are identified, segregated and recorded.
• Prevent accumulation of unidentified materials on shopfloor.
• Coordinate with Stores for material reconciliation.

Continuous Improvement

• Reduce rejection, rework and scrap.
• Improve productivity and process efficiency.
• Implement 5S and housekeeping standards.
• Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Team Management

• Supervise production personnel.
• Conduct training and skill development.
• Ensure discipline, accountability and safety compliance.

• Daily Production Reports.

• WIP Registers.
• Rejection/Rework/Scrap Reports.
