Job summary

Suspa Pneumatics in India is seeking a Production Manager to lead daily production planning, monitor outputs, and coordinate manpower to meet shift and daily targets.

You will promote safety and compliance, uphold quality, drive productivity, manage team performance, maintain SAP-based material transactions, and report KPI updates while collaborating with maintenance, quality, PPC, stores and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily production plans as per PPC requirements.
• Monitor production output and ensure achievement of shift and daily targets.
• Coordinate manpower allocation based on production requirements.
• Ensure smooth material flow and machine availability.
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with EHS requirements.
• Conduct daily safety observations and corrective actions.
• Ensure operators follow standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and process parameters.
• Monitor defects, rejections, and rework activities.
• Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
• Drive zero-defect and customer satisfaction initiatives.
• Monitor manpower productivity and line efficiency.
• Identify and implement productivity improvement projects.
• Reduce downtime, scrap, overtime, and process waste.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities.
• Supervise operators and team leaders during shifts.
• Conduct daily shift meetings and performance reviews.
• Train and develop team members on process and quality requirements.
• Maintain discipline, attendance, and workforce engagement.
• Ensure accurate material transactions in SAP.
• Monitor inventory movement and production consumption.
• Coordinate with Stores and Planning teams to avoid shortages and excess inventory.
• Prepare daily production reports and KPI updates.
• Escalate production, quality, maintenance, or material issues promptly.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, PPC, Stores, and Engineering departments.
