Job summary

Garware Technical Fibres is seeking a Production Manager to lead end-to-end production operations in Satara, ensuring daily, weekly, and monthly targets are met. The role emphasizes efficient utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and shop-floor resources.

You will drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S and TPM initiatives, monitor OEE, and coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Stores and Supply Chain to achieve output with high quality and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end production operations to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and shop-floor resources.
• Monitor production performance and drive improvements in productivity, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Lead and supervise production teams, ensuring adherence to operational standards and discipline.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and TPM initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to eliminate waste, reduce cycle time, and improve throughput.
• Monitor OEE and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Stores, and Supply Chain departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement CAPA for production and quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and statutory requirements.
• Prepare and monitor production plans based on customer demand and business requirements.
• Ensure material availability through coordination with procurement and stores teams.
• Track production schedules and prioritize orders to meet delivery commitments.
• Monitor inventory levels and work towards inventory optimization.
• Analyze capacity utilization and identify gaps in resources and production flow.
• Prepare MIS reports and production performance dashboards for management review.
• Coordinate with Sales, SCM, Quality, and Dispatch teams for seamless order execution.
