PGP Glass is seeking an experienced Production Planning professional to drive manufacturing schedules aligned with customer orders and forecasts. You will coordinate with Sales, Production, Stores, and Quality to ensure timely, cost-efficient output.

The role emphasizes capacity planning, Lean initiatives, and continuous improvement, with responsibilities for monitoring WIP, inventory, and on-time dispatch of finished goods.

Job description

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and sales forecasts.
• Plan production schedules considering machine capacity, manpower availability, and delivery commitments.
• Coordinate with Sales, Production, Stores, Purchase, Dispatch, and Quality departments for smooth production flow.
• Monitor production progress and ensure adherence to production schedules.
• Ensure optimum utilization of machines, manpower, and raw materials.
• Maintain proper inventory levels of paper, kraft paper, adhesives, inks, and other packaging materials.
• Coordinate with the Purchase department for timely procurement of raw materials.
• Monitor WIP (Work-in-Progress) and finished goods inventory.
• Analyze production delays, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and circulate daily production reports, planning reports, and MIS reports.
• Ensure timely dispatch of finished goods as per customer schedules.
• Coordinate with Production and Maintenance teams to minimize machine downtime.
• Monitor production efficiency, wastage, rejection, and productivity.
• Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards, safety policies, and SOPs.
• Assist in monthly production planning meetings and capacity planning.
