Job description

Production Planning (Daily & Weekly)

Develop and implement daily and weekly production schedules based on sales orders, forecasts, and inventory levels.

Coordinate with production, quality, and dispatch teams to ensure timely execution of production plans.

Monitor actual production vs. plan and adjust schedules to meet delivery timelines.

Raw Material Planning

Prepare material requirement plans (MRP) as per production schedules.

Coordinate with purchase and stores teams for timely procurement and availability of raw materials.

Track material consumption and identify variances or shortages in stock.

Inventory Control

Maintain optimum inventory levels of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods.

Implement inventory control measures to avoid excess stock or stockouts.

Monitor slow-moving and non-moving inventory and take corrective actions.

Coordination & Reporting

Liaise with cross-functional teams – Production, Purchase, Store, Quality, and Logistics.

Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports on production and inventory performance.

Support audits and compliance requirements for materials and inventory.
