Job summary

SFO Technologies in India is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with hands-on experience in CNC lathe machines and SPM operations. You will operate, set up, select tools, and inspect components to meet production requirements.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, performing tool offsets and basic program edits, and ensuring dimensional accuracy and surface finish. You will work with Production, Quality and Maintenance teams to maintain safety, quality, and 5S compliance while

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with CNC lathe and SPM operations.
• Ability to read engineering and machining drawings.
• Setting tools, offsets and editing basic programs.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Identify defects and take corrective actions.
• Adhere to quality, safety and 5S procedures.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist with hands‑on experience in CNC lathe machines and SPM (Special Purpose Machine) operations. The candidate will be responsible for machine operation, setting, tool selection, component inspection, and ensuring quality and productivity as per production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and set CNC Lathe and SPM machines for machining components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, machining drawings, and specifications.
• Perform machine setting, tool setting, offsets, and basic program corrections.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, and machining parameters.
• Monitor machining operations and ensure required dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Identify machining defects and take necessary corrective actions.
• Carry out basic troubleshooting of CNC machines and report major machine issues to the concerned team.
• Ensure proper handling of raw materials, tools, fixtures, and finished components.
• Maintain production records and follow standard operating procedures.
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and 5S requirements.
• Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams when required.

Required Skills

• Hands‑on experience in CNC Lathe machining.
• Experience working with SPM machines will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of CNC machine setting, tool offsets, and basic program editing.
• Good knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, feeds, speeds, and machining processes.
• Good troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
