Job summary

Uflex Ltd. in Panipat, Haryana, is hiring an Assistant Manager - EHS to lead plant safety, ensure PPE compliance, conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions across the site.

The role requires coordinating training programs, audits, permits, and emergency drills to maintain ISO 14001/45001 standards and ESG alignment. On-site work with contractors and daily safety oversight is expected.

Responsibilities

• Daily safety round & plant round.
• Highlight unsafe conditions & rectify with the concerned department.
• PPE’s compliance audit of various work permits in hazardous areas, daily monitoring of PPE consumption & issued.
• Monitoring & effective compliance of Tankers and other vehicles (like PPE, Trem card, MSDS & First aid).
• Conducting internal and external safety audits & risk assessment & mapping at site to identify significant risks and controls to mitigate them.
• Conducting induction trainings and classroom trainings to employees & contract workers; facilitating HSE Training, Induction Training, motivational & awareness programmes e.g., BBS.
• Coordinated testing of pressure vessels & other tools & tackles.
• Monthly audit for all tools & tackles; ensure legal compliance on time.
• Daily report, monthly schedule, monthly safety committee meetings & monthly reports.
• Manage contractors management & audit as per standards PPEs, checking tools & tackles, sign & MOM for safe working at site.
• Preparation of emergency drills in the plant & mutual aid with neighbour industry.
• Follow-up of internal safety inspections and external audit observations & implement recommendations.
• Weekly/monthly checks of fire pump house, extinguishers, eye wash, annual & semi-annual inspections of tools & tackles & emergency equipment.
• Incident reporting, investigation & trend analysis; follow up RCA & countermeasures.
• Availability of PPEs, medicines, and work permit books with monthly consumption report; daily audits of 100% permits.
• Minimum 2 unsafe acts & conditions to be highlighted & rectified ASAP; monthly firefighting training in plant.
• MSDS to be prepared as per ISO/EMS requirements for all chemicals with PPE recommendations.
• Audit & check all emergency equipment placements and maintenance (hose reel, hydrant, extinguishers, eye washer, sprinkler system, fire alarm, smoke detectors).
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001 and ESG; auditing of work permits & record maintaining; non-compliance escalated with concerned departments; monthly contractual violation reports.

• 14. Weekly/monthly Checks of fire pump house, maintenance - Fire Extinguishers, Fire Pump house, Eye Wash, Annually & Half yearly inspection of tool & tackles & inspection of all emergency equipment’s.
• 15. Reporting, investigation & filled the analysis of incident report with in time line, making trend for more focus on particular or similar type incidents. Follow up the recommendation in for RCA & others countermeasures.
• 16. Availability of PPE's, Medicine, and work permitted books by prepared monthly consumption report, audit to be carried out on daily basis for 100% work permit.
• 17. Minimum 2 unsafe acts & condition to be high light & same rectified ASAP.
• 18. 2 Minimum firefighting training to be conducted in the plant on monthly basis.
• 19. MSDS to be made as per ISO/EMS requirements for all chemicals with recommendations PPE’s.
• 20. Audit & check all emergency equipment to be places & maintained. (Hose reel, Hydrant, Fire Extinguishers, Eye washer, Sprinkler System, fire alarm, & smoke detectors etc)
• 21 Knowledge of ISO Standard 14001 and 45001 and knowledge of ESG.
• 22 . Auditing of work permit & record maintaining. Non-compliance of PPE’s/work permit escalated for further action with concerned departments (On daily basis). Preparation of Contractual Violation report on monthly basis and its record to be maintained. Preparation, updating and review of HIRA. To preparation of health checkup data of employees and its record to be maintained (Annualy). To review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation annually.(HSD/CTO/HWA/Biomedical Waste/Boiler License). Preparation of monthly EHS report.
