Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and mitigation planning.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment.
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and safety walks.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental laws and statutory requirements.
  • Provide oversight of ETP operations and ensure discharge compliance.
  • Monitor emissions, waste disposal, water usage, and pollution control systems.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities for environmental clearances.
  • Implement sustainability and environmental improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor occupational health programs and employee well-being.
  • Address workplace hazards affecting employee health.
  • Maintain documentation, legal registers, and compliance records.
  • Coordinate audits by government bodies and external agencies.
  • Conduct safety induction and periodic training programs.
  • Promote safety awareness campaigns and toolbox talks.
  • Develop emergency response and evacuation plans.

Job description

  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, procedures, and standards
  • Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and mitigation planning
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment
  • Lead incident/accident investigations and implement corrective actions
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and safety walks
  • Ensure compliance with environmental laws and statutory requirements
  • Provide functional oversight of the ETP operations, ensuring the designated operator maintains compliance with discharge norms
  • Monitor emissions, waste disposal, water usage, and pollution control systems
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities for environmental clearances
  • Implement sustainability and environmental improvement initiatives
  • Health & Occupational Safety
  • Monitor occupational health programs and employee well-being
  • Ensure medical check-ups, health surveillance, and hygiene standards
  • Address workplace hazards affecting employee health
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable laws such as: Factories Act, Pollution Control Board norms, Hazardous Waste Management Rules, Other Environmental and factories acts
  • Maintain documentation, legal registers, and compliance records
  • Coordinate audits by government bodies and external agencies
  • Conduct safety induction and periodic training programs
  • Promote safety awareness campaigns and toolbox talks

  • Develop and implement emergency response plans
