Job summary

Uflex Ltd. in Panipat seeks an EHS Officer for the Chips Plant to lead daily safety rounds, monitor hazardous areas, and ensure PPE, permits, and MSDS compliance. You will coordinate audits, risk assessments, and training for employees and contractors to uphold site safety.

Responsibilities include emergency drills, incident investigations, and continuous improvement in line with ISO 14001/45001 and ESG expectations. This role is on-site at the Panipat plant.

Qualifications

• Experience in EHS management and compliance.

• Skilled in training employees and contractors on safety.
• Knowledge of PPE, MSDS, and permits in hazardous areas.
• Experience coordinating emergency drills and incident investigations.

Description

• 1. Daily safety round & plant round.
• 2. High light the unsafe conditions & rectified with the concerned department.
• 3. PPE’s compliance audit of various work permits in hazardous areas,Daily Monitoring of PPE consumption & issued.
• 4. Monitoring & effective compliance of Tankers others vehicles (like PPE, Trem card, MSDS & First aid).
• 5. Conducting Internal and External Safety Internal Audits & Risk Assessment & mapping at site to identify
• 6. Significant risks and controls to mitigate the same
• 7. Conducting induction trainings and classroom trainings to employees & contract workers; facilitating HSE Training, Induction Training, motivational & awareness programmes e.g., BBS.
• 8. Conducted & and coordinate the testing of pressure vessels & others tool & tackles.
• 9. Monthly audit conducted for all tool & tackles,Legal compliance full filled on time.
• 10. Properness of Daily Report, Monthly Schedule, Monthly Safety committee meeting & Monthly report.
• 11. Manage the contractors management & audit as per standards PPE’s, Checking of tools & tackles (Approved & reject at the time of entry) , contractors sign & MOM for safe working at site.
• 12. Preparation of emergency drill in the plant & Mutual aid with neighbour industry.
• 13. Conducted & follow-up of internal safety inspection on time, follow up of external safety audit observations & implement recommendations.
• 14. Weekly/monthly Checks of fire pump house, maintenance - Fire Extinguishers, Fire Pump house, Eye Wash, Annually & Half yearly inspection of tool & tackles & inspection of all emergency equipment’s.
• 15. Reporting, investigation & filled the analysis of incident report with in time line, making trend for more focus on particular or similar type incidents. Follow up the recommendation in for RCA & others countermeasures.
• 16. Availability of PPE's, Medicine, and work permitted books by prepared monthly consumption report, audit to be carried out on daily basis for 100% work permit.
• 17. Minimum 2 unsafe acts & condition to be high light & same rectified ASAP.
• 18. 2 Minimum firefighting training to be conducted in the plant on monthly basis.
• 19. MSDS to be made as per ISO/EMS requirements for all chemicals with recommendations PPE’s.
• 20. Audit & check all emergency equipment to be places & maintained. (Hose reel, Hydrant, Fire Extinguishers, Eye washer, Sprinkler System, fire alarm, & smoke detectors etc)
• 21 Knowledge of ISO Standard 14001 and 45001 and knowledge of ESG.
