Job summary

Bajaj finance limited is seeking a branch operations leader to drive performance and profitability at the Odisha (Phulbani) branch. The role involves steering field marketing, ensuring healthy lead conversions, and maintaining strong customer engagement for new acquisitions and retention.

Key duties include gold ornament valuation, vault custody, and strict compliance with policies. You will hire and mentor staff, generate branch reports, and push for growth across products including gold loans

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of relevant experience required.
• Bachelor's Degree/Post-graduation Degree preferred.
• Gold loan banking experience or client service background preferred.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee branch operations, performance, and profitability.
• Drive field-marketing activities to boost brand visibility for financial products.
• Plan and monitor branch and field activities to ensure a healthy lead pipeline and growth.
• Engage customers for new acquisitions and retention of existing customers.
• Conduct accurate valuation and appraisal of pledged gold ornaments per policy and compliance.
• Joint custodian of the Vault for safekeeping of pledged securities.
• Maintain NPAs through follow-ups on interest collections.
• Hire, coach, and train staff, providing timely performance feedback.
• Maintain high-quality business outputs, prepare reports, and drive growth.

Job Purpose

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall branch operations,performance & profitability of the branch.
• Drive & participate in field-marketing activities of various financial products along with the team to improve brand visibility
• Plan,conduct & monitor the branch & field level marketing activities to ensure health pipeline of leads resulting into business conversion & branch growth
• Focus on customer engagement for new customer acquisitions & retainment of old customers
• Conducting error free valuation & appraisal of gold ornaments being pledged in branch with correct weight & purity assessment as per company policy and auditory compliance
• Joint custodian of the Vault with responsibility of safekeeping of of pledged securities as per company policies
• Responsible for keeping NPAs in control through strong follow-ups from the customers for interest collections
• Good planning abilities are required for smooth functioning of the branch & for developing cohesiveness within the company and co-workers.
• Hiring, coaching, mentoring and training employees and providing them with timely feedback on their performance
• Maintaining quality & performance of the business, preparing various reports of the same and take necessary actions for growth of business in branch
• Increase Gold Loan business, plus various other third-party products i.e., NCD's, Gold Coins sale etc.
• Responsible for keeping NPAs in control through strong follow-ups from the customers for interest collections.
• Responsible for correct valuation & maintenance of 100% process compliance at branch.
• Manage error free valuation & appraisal of gold ornaments being pledged in branch with correct weight & purity assessment as per company policy and auditory compliance.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Education & Skill Qualifications: 4-7 years of relevant experience required.
• Bachelor's Degree/Post-graduation Degree preferred.
• Previous experience in gold loan banking, gold loan products, management or client service preferred.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
