The Billing Engineer role focuses on civil and interior billing, quantity surveying, and documentation, coordinating with site engineers, managers, architects, and clients to ensure accurate measurements, RA bills, and timely payments.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of civil and interior billing procedures, quantity surveying, and project documentation.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity estimation/billing software.
• Sound understanding of civil construction, interior fit-out works, materials, specifications, and installation methods.
• Good knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, rate analysis, measurement standards, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Billing & Quantity Surveying: Prepare client and subcontractor bills for civil and interior works as per drawings, BOQs and contracts.
• Cost Control & Estimation: Monitor project costs; prepare take-offs, rate analyses, and cost estimates for additional works.
• Coordination & Reporting: Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, architects, designers, consultants, contractors, and clients for measurements and approvals.
• Documentation, Quality & Compliance: Ensure billing documents are complete and compliant with requirements; maintain records and approvals.

Job Description – Civil & Interior Billing Engineer

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of civil and interior billing procedures, quantity surveying, and project documentation.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity estimation/billing software.
• Sound understanding of civil construction, interior fit-out works, materials, specifications, and installation methods.
• Good knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, rate analysis, measurement standards, and contract administration.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, interior, structural, and related service drawings.
• Strong understanding of flooring, partitions, false ceilings, painting, civil finishes, joinery, doors, wall finishes, and other interior works.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple project billings simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and commercial documentation.

Qualification

• B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Diploma in Civil Engineering with relevant civil/interior billing or quantity surveying experience may also be considered.
• Candidates with relevant experience in interior fit-out billing will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. Billing & Quantity Surveying

• Prepare client and subcontractor bills for civil and interior works as per approved drawings, BOQs, work orders, and contract terms.
• Verify quantities executed at site through physical measurements, approved drawings, site records, and work completion reports.
• Prepare measurement sheets, quantity abstracts, RA Bills, and final bills for civil and interior activities.
• Evaluate subcontractor bills and certify quantities based on actual executed work.
• Ensure timely preparation, submission, verification, and certification of Running Account (RA) Bills).

2. Cost Control & Estimation

• Monitor project costs against approved BOQs, budgets, and work orders.
• Prepare quantity take-offs for civil and interior works based on drawings and specifications.
• Prepare rate analysis and cost estimates for additional, revised, or new works.
• Assist in project budget monitoring, cost reconciliation, and forecasting.
• Track executed, measured, billed, certified, and pending quantities and values.

4. Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, architects, designers, consultants, contractors, and clients for measurements and billing approvals.
• Participate in joint measurements and resolve discrepancies in quantities.
• Ensure billing documents are complete, accurate, and compliant with contractual requirements.

5. Documentation, Quality & Compliance

• Ensure all billing and quantity surveying activities comply with project specifications, company policies, BOQs, and contractual requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of billing records, measurements, approvals, variation orders, and payment certifications.
