Job summary

Civilis Infra Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Billing Engineer to manage project billing, measurements, and cost-related documentation.

You will coordinate with site teams, contractors and consultants to ensure accurate quantity measurements, timely billing, and compliance with contracts, BOQs and project specifications. You will play a key role in cost control and financial tracking of the project, including bill certification, reconciliation of materials, and support for claims.

Qualifications

• Diploma/BE/BTech in Civil Engineering.
• Experience with RA/final bills, BOQs, MBs and variations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify RA bills and final bills for contractors/subcontractors.
• Take site measurements and maintain Measurement Books.
• Prepare BOQs, quantity take-offs, and variation statements.
• Coordinate with site engineers for progress and measurements.
• Ensure billing aligns with contract terms, drawings and specifications.
• Maintain records of quantities and certified bills.
• Support cost control and budget monitoring.
• Prepare reconciliation statements for materials.
• Assist in claims, extra items and deviations.
• Coordinate with consultants/clients for bill certification.

Job description

The Billing Engineer will be responsible for preparing, verifying, and managing project billing, measurements, and cost-related documentation. The role involves coordinating with site teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure accurate quantity measurements, timely billing, and compliance with contract terms, BOQs, and project specifications. The engineer plays a key role in cost control and financial tracking of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify RA bills and final bills of contractors and subcontractors
• Take accurate site measurements and maintain Measurement Books (MB)
• Prepare and analyze BOQs, quantity take-offs, and variation statements
• Coordinate with site engineers for work progress and measurements
• Ensure billing is as per contract terms, drawings, and specifications
• Maintain records of executed quantities and certified bills
• Support cost control and budget monitoring activities
• Prepare reconciliation statements for materials (cement, steel, etc.)
• Assist in preparation of claims, extra items, and deviations
• Coordinate with consultants and clients for bill certification

Preferred Experience

• 3 to 4 years of experience as a Billing Engineer in civil construction projects
• Experience in residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of billing procedures, BOQ, MB, and contract conditions
• Hands-on experience in quantity estimation and rate analysis
• Familiarity with RA bills, final bills, and reconciliation statements
• Proficiency in MS Excel and billing-related documentation
• Ability to work closely with site and finance teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma / BE / BTech in Civil Engineering
• Knowledge of estimation, billing, and cost control practices
