Job summary

Aquaaworld Greentech in Chennai invites an on-site Billing Engineer to ensure every work is measured, certified, and billed on time. You will be the link between site, client and accounts, handling RA/final bills, certifications, and invoicing.

The role requires Diploma/BE in Civil/Mechanical, strong BOQ, drawings reading, IS standards, Excel, and willingness to follow up with clients for certification; you will maintain live registers and weekly billing reports.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE/BTech in Civil, Mechanical or related field.
• Strong in quantity estimation, BOQ preparation and reading drawings.
• Working knowledge of IS measurement standards and standard billing practices.
• Good with Excel; AutoCAD is a plus.
• Comfortable on site and confident following up with clients for certification.
• Detail-oriented, organised, and persistent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare BOQs, quantity take-offs and cost estimates from drawings for tenders and new projects.
• Take joint measurements on site with site engineers and client representatives.
• Prepare RA bills, final bills and measurement sheets, and get them certified by clients and consultants.
• Track variations, extra items and deviations against the contract, and get them approved and billed.
• Maintain a live register of every scope showing work done, billed, certified and paid.
• Raise invoices with accounts and follow up on certification and payment with client teams.
• Reconcile materials consumed against billed quantities.
• Prepare a weekly billing status report covering unbilled work, pending certifications and outstanding payments.

The role
