Job summary

Jayant K Furnishers in Mumbai seeks an experienced Civil Billing and Quantity Surveying professional to manage end-to-end billing for interior fit-out projects.

You will prepare RA/interim/final bills, BOQ, rate analysis, and coordinate with clients, consultants and PMs across India. Proficiency in Excel/AutoCAD and billing tools is essential; willingness to travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• 38 years of experience in billing and quantity surveying, preferably in interior fit-out and finishing projects.
• Experience in commercial interiors, hotels, malls, offices, hospitality and residential projects will be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, rate analysis, RA bills and final billing.
• Good understanding of civil finishing and interior works, including flooring, false ceilings, drywall partitions, painting, joinery, doors and furniture.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD; familiarity with billing software and project documentation tools is desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, BOQs, specifications and contract documents.
• Good communication, coordination, documentation and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel or work at project sites across India.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit Running Account (RA) bills, interim bills and final bills as per contract terms and project progress.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and measurements for interior finishing and fit-out works.
• Prepare and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQ), rate analysis and variation statements.
• Conduct joint measurements with clients, consultants and PMC representatives.
• Prepare subcontractor bills and verify quantities against actual site execution.
• Monitor executed quantities against BOQ and identify deviations and extra items.
• Prepare and submit claims for extra items, deviations, and additional works with supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, clients, consultants and the commercial team for timely certification of bills.
• Maintain measurement books, abstract sheets, reconciliation statements and billing records.
• Prepare material reconciliation statements for cement, gypsum, tiles, paint, laminates and other interior materials, wherever applicable.
• Check contractual rates, payment terms, deductions, retention, advances and recoveries in client bills.
• Follow up on bill certification and payment status with clients and consultants.
• Assist in preparing final accounts, variation orders and project close-out documentation.
• Maintain proper records of approved drawings, work orders, site instructions and supporting documents.
