Job summary

MDP Infra (India) Private Limited is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage measurement, BOQ, and billing for on-site high-rise building projects in Haryana. The role involves precise measurement, MB preparation, and rigorous bill verification.

You will prepare and verify RA and subcontractor bills, track quantities, and coordinate with planning, design, execution, and QA/QC teams to ensure accurate, timely billing and record-keeping.

• Proficient in preparing and verifying MB, RA bills and subcontractor bills.

Responsibilities

• Take and verify site measurements for finishing works and prepare MB (Measurement Book).
• Prepare and submit Running Account (RA) Bills and maintain bill summaries.
• Verify subcontractor bills against actual site measurements and rates.
• Monitor actual quantities against approved BOQ and prepare BOQ reconciliation.
• Identify extra or substituted items and prepare rate analyses for non-BOQ items.
• Coordinate with Planning, Design, Execution and QA/QC teams to ensure drawings and quantities are aligned.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

1. Measurement & Quantity Verification

• Take and verify site measurements for finishing works as per approved drawings.
• Prepare MB (Measurement Book) and maintain measurement records.
• Check quantities executed against BOQ, drawings and site conditions.
• Verify quantities for items such as:
• Gypsum/POP works
• False ceiling
• Wall & floor tiles
• Putty and painting
• Flooring
• Waterproofing
• Marble/granite
• External/internal finishing
• MEP-related finishing interfaces

2. Client Billing / RA Bills

• Prepare and submit Running Account (RA) Bills) as per contractual terms.
• Compile measurement sheets, abstracts, supporting documents and bill summaries.
• Ensure billing is based on approved drawings, BOQ and actual site execution.
• Coordinate with the Client/PMC/QS for bill verification and certification.
• Track submitted, certified and paid bills.

3. Subcontractor Billing

• Verify subcontractor bills against actual site measurements.
• Check subcontractor quantities, rates, deductions and contractual conditions.
• Prepare subcontractor measurement sheets and bill abstracts.
• Verify work completion before recommending payment.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers and Project Manager for certification.

4. BOQ & Quantity Management

• Monitor actual quantities against approved BOQ.
• Prepare BOQ reconciliation periodically.
• Identify excess, short and substituted quantities.
• Maintain item-wise quantity consumption and balance quantities.
• Highlight potential cost overruns to management.

5. Variation & Extra Items

• Identify extra items, deviation items and substituted items during execution.
• Prepare rate analysis for non-BOQ items.
• Maintain variation statements and supporting site records.
• Coordinate for approval of additional/extra work before execution wherever possible.

6. Drawing & Document Coordination

• Review approved architectural/finishing drawings for billing purposes.
• Coordinate with Planning, Design, Execution and QA/QC teams regarding revisions.
• Maintain records of revised drawings affecting quantities or rates.
• Ensure billing is prepared against the latest approved drawings.
