Job summary

URC Construction (P) Ltd is seeking a Billing Engineer – Civil to manage project billing, quantity estimation, measurement, and related commercial documentation for building projects. The role requires strong knowledge of civil surveying, client and subcontractor billing, and reconciliation.

The ideal candidate will handle RA and subcontractor bills, verify quantities, prepare BOQ, and coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate billing and timely submissions.

Qualifications

• Diploma or B.Tech in Civil Engineering with relevant billing/quantity surveying exposure.
• Experience in building construction projects and client/subcontractor billing.
• Tamil candidates preferred with 5–8 years in billing/quantity surveying.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit client, RA, and subcontractor bills based on site measurements.
• Take measurements and prepare MS and BOQ.
• Verify quantities against drawings, BOQ, and specs.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and rate analysis for various works.
• Coordinate with Project, Planning, QS, Commercial, and Site Execution teams.
• Check subcontractor bills and supporting documents.
• Maintain records of measurements, work orders, BOQ, billing statements.
• Monitor variations and deviations from BOQ.
• Assist in material and quantity reconciliation.
• Coordinate with consultants/clients for verification and certification.
• Track bills and provide regular billing status reports.
• Ensure timely submission of billing documentation.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Billing Engineer – Civil to manage project billing, quantity estimation, measurement, and related commercial documentation for building construction projects. The candidate should have strong knowledge of civil construction activities, quantity surveying, client billing, subcontractor billing, and reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit client bills, RA bills, and subcontractor bills based on site measurements and actual work progress.
• Take measurements and prepare Measurement Sheets (MS) and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Verify quantities executed at site against approved drawings, BOQ, and specifications.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and rate analysis for various civil works.
• Coordinate with the Project, Planning, QS, Commercial, and Site Execution teams for billing requirements.
• Check and verify subcontractor bills, work measurements, and supporting documents.
• Maintain proper records of measurements, work orders, BOQ, billing statements, and reconciliation.
• Monitor variations, extra items, and deviations from the approved BOQ.
• Assist in preparing material reconciliation and quantity reconciliation.
• Coordinate with consultants and clients for measurement verification and bill certification.
• Track submitted, certified, and outstanding bills and provide regular billing status reports.
• Ensure billing documentation is accurate and submitted within project timelines.
• Support project management in identifying billing gaps, quantity variations, and commercial issues.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Civil Quantity Surveying and Billing.
• Good understanding of BOQ, rate analysis, measurements, RA Bills, and subcontractor billing.
• Knowledge of building construction activities and specifications.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Experience working with clients, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Knowledge of billing software/ERP systems will be an added advantage.

Candidate Profile

• Diploma / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in billing/quantity surveying.
• Candidates with experience in building construction projects will be preferred.
• Tamil candidates preferred.
• Candidates who can join at short notice will be preferred.
